Arthur Crudup is one of the most prolific, influential and respected delta / country blues singers and guitarists; he has set several standards that everyone has covered until today.
One of the blues standards he penned in 1942 was "Mean Old Frisco", a train that ran back in the day, which took his baby away.
Blues music is taken from day to day life; and this song is no exception.
