Henry Townsend was a great Delta bluesman. He passed away in 2006, at 97 years old, still performing and recording.
He won a Grammy in 2008 for Best Traditional Blues Album, " Last of the Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen: Live In Dallas " which he performed with Pinetop Perkins, Robert Lockwood, Jr. and David "Honeyboy" Edwards, all of whom are blues legends and all in their 80's and 90's.
We don't usually hear much about Townsend... so I thought you might be interested in what great blues he made.
