We all know that sheikhs are primarily situated in the Arab world.
However, there WERE sheikhs elsewhere too - The Mississppi Sheikhs - and they were a travelling blues guitar/fiddle ensemble from the 1930's, and they are most known for their 1930 blues single "Sitting on Top of the World" and it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2008.
Robert Johnson interpolated this song into "Come on in my Kitchen" and dozens of musicians from blues (such as Howlin' Wolf and BB King) and rock (such as Cream and the Grateful Dead) have covered this song.
Here ya go... the real folk blues!
