Just to update... I did get an iPhone (hypocrite... trend follower etc).
I thought it was gonna be harder than I thought... not so bad. Got it all up and running fairly quickly (except for the micro-SIM thing and downloading iTunes). All by myself too! Perhaps I'm not as technologically inhibited as I thought I was.
